1I have a question about an order, a product, a lead time, a possible roll out, who do I contact?
Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-6:30PM.
Please do not hesitate to give us a call at 516-576-9090.
2Why don’t we take orders over the phone?
In an effort to ensure 100% accuracy we ask for a physical request of your orders. These requests can then be sent in to orders@kenstan.com or faxed to 516-576-0100.
3All my keymatic keys have different color sleeves. Why is this?
Kenstan has designed Keymatic Keys to have different color sleeves to delineate operating settings. In the case of lost keys for example, a change tool can simply move your current setting to another setting keeping that lock secure as the old key will no longer work.
4What are the stamped numbers on my Keymatic keys?
Stamping numbers on your keys helps with placing future orders. The first two letters represent a manufacturing date code and the next three or four numbers represent the keymatic key code. The final dash and numbers 1-8 represent the setting within the key code. Please note this applies only to operating keys.
5How do I use a change tool?
A change TOOL is designed to merely change the combination of your locks.
6Can I use any change tool with any keymatic lock?
No. The change tool code must match the operating code. Change tools are not designed for universal use.
7What is a cam rotation?
Kenstan Cam Locks have designated cam rotations. When designing your lock, this controls the locked and unlocked positions of the cams.
